Grand Rapids is the second-largest city in the state of Michigan.
It’s renowned for its friendly culture, diverse range of world-renowned art, gardens, museums, and historic sites, as well as an impressive restaurant scene and numerous family-friendly parks and programs. If this is your first time attending a conference at the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, or especially if you’ve been attending for years and haven’t taken the opportunity to step off campus, we hope you’ll consider exploring our city. The Calvin Institute of Christian Worship is located on the campus of Calvin University and Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in a region that served as the ancestral home of the Hopewell people and, more recently, the Anishinaabe Three Fires Confederacy of Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi nations. As we meet this week, we are grateful for the way these people cared for the land and loved it.
